Here are some frequently asked questions and my answers.
Why do you write mystery novels?
Firstly, I love to read mystery novels and thrillers myself. Secondly, I revel in developing a plot that drives the narration.
But basically, I see my books as tales of adventure in which the characters, while perhaps searching for a murderer or love, become involved in the kinds of action that I would like to experience myself.
(An astrologer friend of mine noted that my having a horoscope with so much Scorpio influence has destined me to become a mystery writer! So there you go.)

Interview with Manybooks
“What inspired you to write this story? Was there anything in particular that made you want to write this?”
“I’m always inspired by locations: wild, isolated, mysterious places. In this case it is the rugged, wind-swept coast of Labrador which I know from my travels. I thought it would be interesting to send a big-city detective to this God-forsaken town in the middle of a bone-chilling winter. I can relate to the challenges she faces because of my own experiences in Canada’s North.”
