Happy Holidays!

I am back on Canada`s West Coast where I traditionally spend the winter and spring. The area is called the Sunshine Coast (as some of you already know) and it tries to live up to its name by frequent rain fall in the winter months. It still beats the snow storms and whiteouts in Northern Newfoundland, I can assure you.

Are we in the Caribbean? No, it is winter in Canada, on the Sunshine Coast!

We usually have snow only for a few days here, and a white Christmas is almost unheard of. Still, this is my “Florida” and “Cuba” and “Hawaii” all together and you will never hear me complain about the fog and the damp weather. It is all a matter of perspective. And every so often you have a day like this:

A warm and sunny December day in Gibsons, British Columbia, Canada.

I am just finishing my new German crime novel that is set in icy Labrador. Three more chapters , and I`m there! This is only the first draft, of course, and there will be a lot of rewriting, streamlining and adding suspense. But the plot is fleshed out and the characters and the twist at the end. I understand that my English readers want to know when my most recent murder mystery “Murderous Morning” will be eventually available in your language. I can tell you that the translation process has begun. It is a lot of work and takes time, but I hope the book launch will be in late spring 2020. Thanks for your patience.

Here is my Christmas picture for you. I like the humour in it, because the holidays should be relaxing and joyful. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and folks, enjoy your holidays!
